- Traveled to the designated “home” area of the assigned local language as directed by the Data Provider.
- Introduced the project to the local community, explaining its purpose and obtaining consent to work with them.
- Collaborated with the team and community members to identify at least 10 indigenous speakers of the local language, ensuring diversity in age, gender, and representation.
- Secured quiet, private locations for conducting interviews with the identified speakers.
- Used a smartphone and Open Data Kit (ODK) to conduct interviews according to the provided training.
- Recorded each speaker’s responses using a second smartphone with the assigned app, adhering to project protocols.
- Properly named and organized audio files following the naming conventions outlined in the ODK form.
- Uploaded audio files to the designated Google Drive folder as instructed by the Data Provider.
- Maintained professionalism and respect towards the community and interview participants throughout the process.
